Healthcare should be a human right. Currently, having healthcare being provided for free is not recognized as a standard, but many persons believe that it should be free. This essay shall argue in favor of universal healthcare regardless of one’s legal status in a country.
Healthcare should be provided by governments free of charge to all because it would add to the nation’s productivity. Countries need manpower to work well. People man the machines. People operate the stalls. People do many things. Many a person’s legal status is unsecure. That is to say many persons work in countries illegally. They overstay their tourist visa’s allocated time. They cross borders and establish themselves unofficially in a territory. Whether or not a person residing illegally in an area is right in the eyes of the law is irrelevant to the idea that all persons need healthcare. Illegal immigrants need healthcare. Tourists need healthcare. Citizens need healthcare. Everyone contributes to the welfare of a country by giving their labor in the care of citizens and illegal workers and giving their money in the case of tourists. Therefore, all persons while in a territory should be given access to healthcare, and free of charge.
To summarize, governments should provide healthcare to all persons. Everyone contributes to a country’s prosperity, and everyone should be able to enjoy free attention at health institutions.
