Accidents are a part of the driving experience. For every hundred persons who make the right driving decision, there will be one who makes the wrong decision. A popular belief held by drivers is that the younger ones cause all of the accidents. This essay shall argue in favor of this idea, that it is indeed the young drivers that caused all of the accidents on the roadways.
Young people do indeed cause the majority of accidents on the roads. A young person in this instance includes any person under the age of 25 years old. In most countries, a person can only obtain their driver’s license at the age of 17 onwards. That is to say that someone 25 and under does not have a wealth of driving experience, when compared to seasoned drivers older than them. It takes a lot of practice to be great at something. Some experts cite 10,000 hours to become a master at a habit. It takes many years to become proficient at driving a vehicle. Most persons drive maybe 2 hours a day to and from work. At that rate, it takes persons more than 10 years to become excellent drivers. A person that is under 25 years of age is not a master driver. Therefore, it can be reasoned that young drivers do cause all of the accidents on the roadways. They do not yet have the driving experience to avoid collisions and therefore are the source of road accidents.
To summarize, young persons under 25 years of age are the causes of accidents on the roads. They have not yet accumulated enough driving experience to avoid collisions, and do cause all of the incidents on the roadways.
