The Present Tense is used to describe:

  • Actions that are happening right now
  • Actions that happen regularly or habitually
  • Facts and universal truths

To form the Present Tense, do the following:

Take the Subject and add the Base Verb (-s -es for he, she, it). Below are some examples of the Present Tense.

I eat breakfast at 7 a.m.
→ (habit)

She walks to school.
→ (routine action)

The sun rises in the east.
→ (universal truth)

We play football on weekends.
→ (regular activity)
