A subject is the part of a sentence that tells us who or what the sentence is about. It usually includes a noun or pronoun and performs the action of the verb. An example of a subject is found below.
- “The cat slept on the mat.”
In this sentence, “The cat” is the subject because it is the one doing the action (sleeping).
So go ahead and use subjects in your essays. I hope all writers use this tip in their CXC prep/ CSEC prep.
