Below are the rules to use to form the Present Tense in English.

For most subjects (I, you, we, they):

Use the base verb.
✅ Example:
They play soccer on weekends.

🔹 For he, she, it:

Add -s or -es to the base verb.
✅ Example:
She plays soccer on weekends.

🧠 Special Notes:

• If the verb ends in -ch, -sh, -x, -s, or -o, add -es
  ✅ He goes, She watches
• If the verb ends in a consonant + y, change y to i and add -es
  ✅ She studies

Now it’s up to you. Use the present tense in your essays. I hope all writers use this tip in their CXC prep/ CSEC prep.
