The @ sign is a symbol that looks like this: @
It’s pronounced “at” and is most commonly used:
- In email addresses to separate the username from the domain (for example,
jane.doe@gmail.com). - On social media platforms to tag or mention someone (for example,
@username).
🔹 Example Uses:
✅ In an email address:teacher@example.com
👉 Here, teacher is the username, and example.com is the email service provider.
✅ On social media:Hey @JohnDoe, did you see this post?
👉 Here, you’re mentioning or tagging John Doe in your message.
And there you have it. So go ahead and use the @ sign appropriately in your CXC prep/ CSEC prep.
