A metaphor is a figure of speech that directly compares one thing to another to highlight a similarity, without using “like” or “as.” It helps create vivid imagery or express ideas in a more imaginative way.

Example:
“Time is a thief.”

This means time steals moments from our lives, just like a thief would steal possessions — but it doesn’t mean time literally steals. It’s a metaphor to show how quickly time can pass without us noticing.

Great! Now go ahead and use metaphors in your CXC prep/ CSEC prep.
