Hyperbole is a figure of speech that uses extreme exaggeration to emphasize a point or create a dramatic effect. It’s not meant to be taken literally.

Example:

“I’m so hungry I could eat a horse.”
The speaker isn’t actually going to eat a horse—it just emphasizes how extremely hungry they feel.
