📌 Enjambment

Definition:
Enjambment is when a sentence, phrase, or thought runs over from one line of poetry into the next without a pause or punctuation at the end of the line. It creates a sense of flow, urgency, or continuation.

Example:

From William Wordsworth’s Lines Written in Early Spring:

Through primrose tufts, in that green bower,
The periwinkle trailed its wreaths

Here, the thought flows from the first line into the second without a natural pause, carrying the reader smoothly forward.

And there it is! Now go ahead and use enjambment in your CXC prep/CSEC prep.
