Definition:
A parable is a short, simple story that teaches a moral or spiritual lesson. It often uses human characters and everyday situations to convey universal truths or ethical guidance.


Example:

The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Bible, Luke 10:25–37)

  • In this story, a man is left on the road. Several people pass by without helping, but a Samaritan stops to care for him.
  • Lesson: Show compassion and help others, even those who are different from you.
