📌 Epanalepsis

Definition:
Epanalepsis is a rhetorical device in which the same word or phrase is repeated at both the beginning and the end of a clause or sentence. This repetition emphasizes the idea and can create a sense of completeness or circularity.

Example:

  • “The king is dead, long live the king!”
    • “King” appears at both the beginning and end of the clause.

Another example:

  • “Beloved is mine; she is beloved.”

And there it is! Now go ahead and use epanalepsis in your CXC prep/ CSEC prep.
