“Who run the world? Girls. Girls.” This is a quote from a pop song that highlights women’s advancement, so much so that it is believed that women, not men run the world. This essay seeks to argue in favor women’s advancement, and agree that women nowadays have surpassed men.
Women have surpassed men because women make up the majority of university graduates. Official statistics show that women outnumber men two to one in universities. This means that women are two times more likely to possess advanced degrees than their male counterparts. Higher education oftentimes translates to more income earned over a lifetime. Higher income grants access to a better standard of living, healthier bodies, living in safer communities than average, and generally living a more enjoyable life. Women potentially earning more than men means that they would surpass men in many aspects of life that having more money improves.
In conclusion, women have overtaken men in society. Women are two times more likely to be higher educated than men, and this often translates into higher paying jobs, and eventually higher standards of living than men.
