A teacher is a person charged with the responsibility of passing on knowledge to their students. To some persons, the job specifications of a teacher must extend way past this technical definition. Teachers are often parents, counselors, financial sponsors and many more roles to many. This essay shall agree with the thought that teachers wear a lot of hats in schools.

Teachers are more than just teachers while on the job. It isn’t unheard of teachers to give students money for various purchases. Teachers sponsor school trips when parents are pressed for cash. Teachers give advice as a trusted adults when their young students need counsel. One may approach their teacher for counsel on the best way to navigate pubescent drama. Teachers parent students. They discipline their wards when necessary, which is the hallmark of being a parent. Teachers do a lot while on the job. Teachers are often bogged down with these extra roles given to them, and rightfully complain that they are given too many roles.

In conclusion, teachers perform too many roles while at school. Teachers give advice to students, dole out money to students, and perform many other actions that are out of their job description to their detriment.
